I am having some electrical trouble on my '91 240sx and i hope someone can help me out. A few weeks ago the EGI relay under the hood started buzzing. It would start to buzz when I opened the doors/hatch and wouldn't stop until the engine was started. Then a few days later, I noticed that the check engine light/oil pressure light ect would stay on with the ignition off with the key out.

Today i went to start it, and now nothing works. None of the lights work, the horn doesn't work. The engine would crank, but would not start. I eventually got it started, but it runs really rough and sometimes only on 3 cylinders. The tach is jumping around when the engine is at idle, and the temp gauge is all the way at hot and its still cold. Oh and if i try to turn on the headlights or press the horn, the engine will start to die. anyone have any ideas?

if you dont know electrical not much you can do, wiring diagrams are in tutorial link in my signature. you likely have a short that has drained battery. look for cut wires. your fuel injector relay is buzzing because it is getting a weak 12v postitve from somwhere ie short. look at the cct

power comes from ignition switch goes to 10 amp fuse and then to fuel pump relay. disconnect stuff to see if buzz stops. ie ignition switch harness
