Electrical Problems.

Hello everyone. I have a 1986 300zx with a non-turbo engine that i just bought with 105000k original miles. i have some electrical probs with my gauge cluster. It illumniates when i first turn my key for the initial start up of the car. Once the car is on the cluster does not work. I have changed my cluster with anothe one and still had same prob. The car has a digital cluster my car has power window, locks etc. If someone knows of a good manual so that i can shoot the wires or if anyone has had a similar problem and fixed it plz drop a line i really need the help.

have you tried swapping the dash power supply? it's located under the dash to the right of the steering column
