Part of my wiring harness that leads into my coil and power transistor was burnt up. Only about 6" were burnt up and the leads on the end are still good. I think it may have caught fire from my intake. I rewired it and found four wires with connectors that have no where to go. I think they may be just open wires or maybe a fusable link. Is that true or does anyone know what I am talking about. My car will not start even after the rewiring. I have checked the readings across the coil and power transistor and the coil is fine. The power transistor readings are at 35 and 47 ohms when oem specs are 0.7 ohms, however, i placed my power transistor on my friends car and it worked. So i am having a lot of trouble with my car, any help would be appreciated. It is a 1992 Nissan 240sx se

Might want to check the ECU's signal output to the power transistor. There's a testing procedure in the FSM. If you melted wires you may have shorted the output from the ECU. Worst case you could have toasted the ECU output. Check the wire continuity(also outlined in FSM) before you jump to that conclusion tho.

And yeah year of your car would be helpful. :-)
