electrical problem

I just drove my car after a few weeks and I noticed that my left signal light (dash)comes on and off. sometimes its dim then bright then off. when the left signal works, it flashes fast but both front and back works. wtf?

I'd replace the flasher and all the signal bulbs. Sometimes if you put the wrong voltage bulbs in say a 1157 instead of a 2157 or vice versa, it does that.
