Electrical problem?

i'm having troubles gettin my 240 to start...90 hatch...its been cold so not sure about if it has to do with the weather...but it will start up...and then i try to start it again it won't start up...when you drive...the clock in the gauge cluster will dim and brighten to the turn signals and the bass in the stereo..it's just a basic head unit...no subs or anything..so nothing draining anything...its just that sometimes it starts fine...then i have to jump it sometimes...but sometimes it won't even start right with a jump...i had the alternator and battery checked when it was having troubles starting before...they said the battery and alternator are both no good...took it home messed around with some wires..and it started fine...took it again..they said theres nothing wrong...someone please help..its not starting again...i can't drive my 240 : ( ..........has anyone had this same problem?...could it just be the wiring..?...relays?...anything please...?

well, if the car will start with a jump, then its the battery or the charging system.

take the car to a pro, and not the assmonkeys at auto-zone, and have them check the running voltage and alternator current output.

if the alternator checks out fine, replace the battery.

i totally second ivorys statement about the *** monkeys at autozone. take it to a professional that specializes in electronics. i was just currently having electrical problems with my 240 also. me and my dad tried troubleshooting it for almost a week. finally we said screw it cause we couldnt figure it out. we took it to a pro that specializes in automotive electrics and they fixed it today in a couple of hours. your scenario is different from mine (your electrical problem). just cough it up.
