My car died the other day on 64. took it to sears and they said that the altinator was not bad nor the battery. Sears told me that it was the electrical system. Now I have to take it to acme auto electrical.

When it was going out the break light was on and so was the battery light. I made it almost to louisville from lexington. Has anyone had this problem before or can share any insight?

I googled it also and there was a guy that had the same problem and he changed his altinator and everything was fine. He said the altinator is pushing out like 18 volts because the regulator in the altinator is f'ed
