Can anyone tell me where the positive battery cable leads to? How about the other 2 (white w/ red stripes) wires?

I have a loose connection somewhere between these three wires. The problem is that sometimes the car would not start... when I insert the key and turn it to ‘on’ position, and the cluster lights are dimmer than usual, that when I know that it would not start.

I usually wiggle the positive wires and the cluster lights will be normal again and the car would start. But its getting more frequent now.

Btw…the battery clamps are thight.

make sure you check the ground for rust or loose connections also. I dont remember what wires run to what specifically, but it will connect to the starter, alternator and ignition on the steering column. Thats all i can think of specifically right now. your best bet is to get a book or just follow the cables to the end. also make sure the connections on the battery arent coroded. thats all i can think of right now.

Although your connections are tight like you say if you can wiggle the wire and it starts then you need new cable ends that calmp to the battery because they are not making a good connection at the wire. Cheap cable ends are at the parts house..let us know...Positive cable runs to back of altenator, starter, and ignition...make sure your ground is good at the block and frame...
