Out of the blue my car crapped on me, worked fine yesterday and today will not cooperate. I stick the key in and try to start it and all the dash lights dim out and fade away, no crank. I assume the battery is dead so I jump it off, after a minute or two the car cranks right up. I took the jumper cables off and let it idle for about 15 minutes, killed it and instantly tried to crank it again but the same dimming dash light and no juice thing. I checked the ground wire and the hot wire, both seem to be connected well and undamaged. The battery tested good and now when I crank the car with the jumper cables the air bag light is flashing. Please help

But on 730 cold cranking amps that the battery is giving off the car should be able to crank and run fine for 20-30 minutes of driving shouldn't it?

Not if the altenator is draining the system.

I tested the alt and it shown good, the problem ended up being those puny oem battery terminals. Fixed

Thanks for the help man, take care.
