i know first thing you're thinking is do a search punk! did and couldtn come up with anything that answered my questions. So does anyone know where i can find a full writeup or elsectrical part for the S14 Black Top swap? from what i understand engine bolts up as well as the transmission. Some people i talked to say that there is nothing besides simply swaping old engine harness for new one but others say there is more to it then that.

Are Black top clips form S14 OBD2? if not then once everythign is inplace will it be like an OBD1 ?

any info you can give me woudl be great, thanks

98 SE 5spd. i am still trying to decide wether taht extra 1500 and ~50hp is worth it( i jsut got the car with 128k and if i decide to keep it ill either have to drop low milege trans and engine which i estimate 1500 or black top clip for about 3k)

I stuck a 98 S14 SR into my 93 chasis and it wasn't that difficult when it came to the wiring and I had to run wires from the ECU all the way to the front of the car. For you, it should be a snap. The most you probably need to do is relocate a couple of wires on the S14's power plug. The big white plug that's attached to the wiring harness other then the blue ECU plug. Should be a complete walk in the park.

If you are gonna buy, get the front clip. It costs more but it comes with everything complete with no need to buy extra things, just fuel pump. If you buy a 1500 engine, chances are, it's not complete and condition probably stinks resulting in you spending more then 3k for the clip.
