it started off with my battery light coming on and i thought nothign of it cause hey, lights come on all the time in my car for no reason, so i ignored it, but soon after my cd player started turning itself on and off randomly so i charged the battery 1 time and it worked fine for a couple days then it did the same thing, i took the cd player out because it kept messing up and i thought that is what was draining the battery. but now the light is coming back on when i am at idle and the motor is turning over more then usual before it starts like the battery is weak. does this mean the alternator is going out or just a bad battery and should i get my cd player checked? thanks for any info

First i'd bring my battery somewhere to have it tested. They can tell you if the battery is on it's way out and not holding power like it should. If everything is fine with it i'd start looking at replacing the alternator.

well, if the "battery" light is on then your alternator isnt charging properly. most electrical items do some crazy things when tere is a very low voltage situation. Charge the battery and fix the charging problem and see how everything acts, it should all be fine
