So I have a 00 Q45 I tried to put in some led lights in the factory locations and when they were on they began to smoke something under the dash. So I took them some of them out. Forward 3 weeks my factory alarm kept going off. And so I checked the hood pin etc and then I got got the wipers flashing horn going off and smoke coming from under the dash. I pulled the disconnected the Battery. Well now i have no alarm no power windows nor power drivers seat nor interior lights. I have checked all the fuses and relays. So its in the shop has anyone ever expeienced this and btw the old guy got the car from had one of the dome lights taped off I think it had electrical problems. Is there a relay or a modul that controls all of this or do i need to take it back to Infiniti. The guy I got it from had 13k worth of service bills from infiniti the car is mint. I plan never to sell it and to VIp it soon. Any help would be needed. Will post pics soon.

Welcome to the forums!

There aren't many techs currently working at Infiniti dealerships that know much about working on a 16-year-old car - especially since the Q45 was never a popular, high-volume model.

Your best strategy is download a free copy of the genuine factory service manual, and look through the wiring diagrams to see what circuits all your failed accessories have in common. Typically, if it's not a fuse, it's a fusible link or burnt-out relay.
