Where to start, my z is having some electrical issues.
Symptoms:
I first noticed my car was having some sort of electrical issues when I first got the car, but I kind of brushed it off. I would be driving at night with the lights and stereo on, and every time I pushed in the clutch the lights would dim. Both my headlights and my dash lights would dim while the rpms dropped, but once I let the clutch out to accelerate they would go back to normal. The dimming was almost un noticable, but it got worse.
Slowly over time the lights became dimmer and dimmer when I would push the clutch in, that is when I really started to pay attention to what was happening. It keeps getting worse too. Now I will be driving with lights, and sometimes stereo, and when I push in the clutch I will loose most electrical power completely for just a second or two. Ill be accelerating, push in the clutch, stereo will turn off and the lights will almost completely go out, but after a second it all comes back on. The last time I drove the car, I pushed in the clutch and left it pushed in to see what would happen, and the car died. I still had dash lights and head lights, but the motor shut off, I let the clutch out and it started right back up. The problem seems to be getting progressively worse.
But there are a few new symptoms. Sometimes when I go to get in the car and fire it up, i notice there is no electrical power at all. Go to turn the key, and nothing. The security light isnt blinking, no lights or anything. So I will pop the hood, and all of a sudden I get electrical power again. I dont do anything besides simply popping the hood. Another symptom which has happened twice and is very frustrating is I will be letting the car warm up, which I tend to do when its colder, it will be sitting for a couple of mins and Ill go to get in and all the doors will be locked. I dont have a remote that controls the doors opening and closing, it just locks them on its own.
I have no idea what it could be, I did the home check of the alternator where you let it run with no battery, and it was fine. Not to mention that this whole car seems to have been horribly wired, like someone just went around and put in new wires everywhere that dont go to anything. Grrrrr.
Any help would be great, thank you in advance!

A list to check:

Battery connections (the obvious, especially because of the 'hood pop' fix). Make sure the battery terminals/wires are not touching the hood when it is closed.

These two are located on the clutch. Because the issue only happens when the clutch pedal is pushed, I'm guessing one is shorting out.
- neutral safety switch
- cruise control switch
