Got a Problem with my Q45 that the interior lamp, and step lamps are continously on in all doors except the rear left door. Also this problem started before when I noticed the that the rear left door could not be controlled by the controls upfront. That is the power lock or power windows could not be controlled from the switches at the front. Also the rear left subswitch would only work when the car is off with the key in the ignition but even then the rear left step lamp would not come on. So this leads to two problems. (1)The first being the most recent that the battery would die overnight cause the interior lamps and the 3/4 step lamps would stay on... (2) The power window or power lock cannot be operated from the front..
would really like you guys help on this as I have no idea as to what I could do to solve this...

Hmm, that seems like the door module to me.. I bet its ALL fubarred!
thats why your window switches do not work and also the power door locks do not work either.... I assume when you do that, it doesnt lock that door.....
What the problem is a door LCU (local control unit)... basically what it does is control everything for the door, and it also minimizes the amount of wiring needed...
You can get one used from a junkyard, or try and fix it yourself thers a tutorial on Q45.org... New one is about $60 from Joe, Joe's contact informaiton is in my signature.....

The assumptions above are all accurate and after going throug the diagnostic I tend to agree with you... However I was unable to find that link indicating how to reprogram the LCU - 04. I hope if you do know the exact site you may post it in your reply.. I saw a lot of cool things on that site and appreciate your help a bunch
