Electrical issue! what could it be?

alright, my tail lights are killing me...

things work:
head lights
turn signals
reverse lights
break lights
EVERYTHING
.......the dash lights, and the tails don't like up for night driving...
i changed EVERY fuse that involves the lights

what could it be?

lighting stalk switch

Yep. Pull off the left side stalk and check the leads, shake it to listen for loose stuff, then replace with junkyard unit.

If that doesn't work, you might have to check the harness that plugs into it.

for my old one i had to flick it a few time to get some things working...got a new one next day

15 amp illumination fuse. likely caused by mullet stereo wiring

Buy a meter, follow FSM, see where power stops.

The TCU box caused my illumination not to work, also with the brake lights. Try this:

Just replace the TCU box with a junkyard one, that the best way IMO. But if you have a friend, you can test it with his first to make sure that is it. Make sure you're not blowing fuses for parking lights also, that's another problem i ran into down the line.
