Electrical issue involving 5 spd sway.

Okay this is a bit long but bare with me.

My friend buys a black 240sx, came in auto, but converted to 5 spd, the alt went a while ago but now that its been replaced the car does not hold a charge the battery is fine so is the alt but it seems that something is not kicking in telling the alt to start charging, now while this is happening the battery light does not come on, and according to my friend its the same with the RB20 swap into the 240 in my previous thread that the batter light needs to be wired up to work properly. So I ask how can I hard wire the battery light? The car is incurring parking fee's as it sits in a lot so I need to get it out asap.

Also the EGI relay is making a really loud buzzing noise, and the car remains in accessory mode even with the key out and you have to turn it on and off repeatedly to get it to work, so I ask would this be related and what does EGI stand for. ThanksSteve
