I have a 2009 M35X with about 150K miles. In the past 2 years, both my driver's side door locks are having issues with opening and closing automatically when handle button is pushed or the autolock feature engages when driving. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. After living with this problem for a while I don't think it is a lock actuator problem but a power issue to the door locks.

Is the wire and connector to the door locks easy to find and troubleshoot? All other features that use power on both doors have no issues.

Technically it's behind the door panel although it obviously comes out of the door near the hinges and probably heads to the BCM...

2009 has an auto engage feature when driving? That sounds aftermarket, and if it is, that may be the cause....I know I sound like a dealer lol. As far as pushing the buttons, is your fob close to your phone? I've had issues with that.

Nothing aftermarket. The car's doors autolock once the car had been driving for 30 seconds. Cellphone wouldn't be an issue with that.

If the rear doors are working fine then I would say it is an actuator issue since they most likely all have the same power source, which is probably a relay.
