Long story short I am getting a custom intake manifold made and going to a Q45 tb and all that jazz. While I am waiting, I bought a Godspeed intake manifold and just installed it. I deleted the IACV but left everything else the same. I put the battery in (Checked the Optima and checks out good) and I get absolutely no electricity. Is their any wiring issue with not having the IACV wired up? I've checked things over a few times and have no clue right now. Thanks!

The only two grounds I took off of the manifold I re-attached. I hope I am not missing one.

IT could be the wire or the gasket type. Build a new wire and take the manifold to the firewall and the frame rail. Then replace the battery to frame rail ground and check the fuses.

BTW....What did you mean by gasket type? I did change from stock to a thermal intake mani gasket. Could this be the problem, in addition to possible bad grounds? Thx.

Some gaskets are metal and pass current, that new one does not so you may need a ground to the part that is not now grounded.

Your main engine ground from the battery was connected to the stock intake manifold. Where did you put it? Try running it to a spare bolt hole on the side of the block or an engine mount nut.

Alright. This is what I did today. My main battery ground was already hooked to the chasis, so I didn't move it. I grounded the intake manifold from that chasis point also. Tried to start and nothing. I now have power to the car (i.e. lights, guages, etc.) Moved the two grounds from the back of the intake manifold, these are from the harness with the iacv wiring and injector harness, put them on the engine block. Tried to start and nothing.

All the accessoried are on, when I try to start I get the lights to dim (voltage drop) but nothing starting wise. No click, no anything.

Still a grounging issue?
Fuse issue? What fuses if so?
Bad starter??

I got nothing right now.

Have the battery charged and load tested. Could have taken a dump, check every fuse.

I know my battery is dead, it has been sitting since december. When I tried starting my car I was jumping it from my GTI. (Battery is red top Optima new last summer) So, it shouldn't be my battery. I am going to check my Clutch Interlock Relay and possibly bypass it to see if that is the problem before getting a new one. Anyone have any other ideas on fuses or relays that could be the problem??? (I will be checking this afternoon after work)

UPDATE!!!

Found the electrical problem. Got pissed and tried to pop start it and didn't go. Found that the small ground clip fell off the starter. Now the car wants to start but won't. Still has starting issue hence why it didn't pop start.

1. Turns over but won't start.
2. Fuel pump primes.
3. Checked spark and have it.
4. Fuel lines hooked up right.
5. All fuses and relays check out good.
6. Battery & conntections good
7. Grounds seem all fine....all electrical works fine.

Any suggestions out there?!?!?!?!

Still nothing. Checked injector harness voltage and fuel pressure. All good. Anything with the injector harness wire wise that could be causing this problem??
