My 2005 Maxima recently began acting up. The warning lights went nuts and the car seemed to lose power. It restarted with no problem but the gas gauge was stuck below the pin. I removed the cluster and reset the gauge successfully. Later at another restart, the brake light and ASB light came on at which time I lost turn signals and tach function. The next two restarts were fine. Now, everything works but the speedometer. I have changed the battery but am stumped as to what this issue might be. Any ideas?

I'd say it's just a gauge cluster problem if not for the fact that the car seemed to lose power. But considering that, it sounds like charging system problem to me. Check the voltage at the battery--should be a little over 12 with the car off and a little over 14 with the car running.
