Hello nico world. I recently swapped a s14 ka into my s13 and now i cant get it to start. I cant get the fuel pump to work and my dash lights stay on. We had the same problem before but, I was told that the wires on the altenator may be crossed up. I thought that doing this may blow everything to hell. I changed the egi 75amp because it blew of course. I ment to tell you all that the car was an auto at one time but we only had this ploblem the last time we pulled the engine out. The car was still running off the automatic harness but, now I have a 5speed harness to make everything back to nissan 5speed spects. I just need help asap please.....

P.S. ANY INSIGHT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED :wtf2:

I have the exact same problem although I swapped in a sr20 into a S13 SOHC automatic and I can't get it to crank at all. My dash lights stay on. I think it is a problem with the starter circuit because of the 5 speed swap but I'm not sure. If you firgure out whats wrong please send some infomation my way.

Look the sticky at the top of the forum. There is a how to on the 5 speed swap. Basically what it comes down to is there are two wires that have to be connected by the ps fuse block to complete the starting circuit.

I would try to help you but I dont know much about the DOHC. you can try tracing the wires going to that egi 75amp because thats where your problem is. for the dash lights you should check your combination switch harness. power should only continue to your illumination when the light switch is in the 1st and 2nd position. remove the harness and check if your illumination is still on. if it is, its getting power somewhere which shouldnt be. if it does, check you combination switch. the contacts might be stuck or something.

There is a male plug with a black/white and a black/yellow wire that needs to be jumpered to each other. I just cut the plug off, sliced down the harness and soldered and heat shrunk them together. This plug is the same as another plug that comes out from under the fuse box. The wire colors for this is black/yellow and white. It is the connector for the starter power. I had to extend this to reach my sr lower wiring harness. I believe that your plugs on the trans have nothing to do with your starter circuit
