I managed to find a way to exactly re-create my intermittent hesitation problem by unplugging the MAF sensor connector- the vehicle will start to hesitate precisely at 2500 rpm. Since i have already swapped the MAF sensor a few days ago- i dont believe it is faulty- could a bad ground cause the MAF sensor to go screwy at times? Keep in mind when i shut off the engine and restart it something is re-setting and the problem disappears for a short time.

Is there any tips or advice for relocating the ground? If so any suggestions would be great- just want to know if i am on right track.

a bad ground could very well be your problem. it is most likely somthing wrong with your MAF connection somewhere. use a multi meter to measure the voltage difference between the ground wire at the MAF and the negative terminal on the battery. if it is more then .02V, you need to run a seperate wire to ground
