A while ago I had water get inside my '96 Q and onto the center console after a particularly heavy rain storm through the sunroof, one of the drains was plugged, and since then the center console controls for the windows does not work, in fact the switches at each door don't work either. The only window that does work is the drivers door.

Looking at the online FSM for what is located under the shifter I don't see what could possibly be affected. My weakness regarding automotive repair is electrical, so I will defer to the more knowledgeable members as to what steps I might take to identify the problem(s).

I have checked the fuses and all are good. Would this problem throw a code using an ODBII?

Probably not as it is not emission related.

Where is the BCU located. Wet modules usually become unreliable modules.

I am not sure the location of the BDU, but the two power window main switches M201 and m203, page 236 in the EL section are located under the console.

What is the BDU?

BCU = Body Control Unit

I'm not familiar enough with the LAN (local area network) setup in the 94+, but I would think there's a troubleshooting scenario for inoperative windows in the manual.

You're amazingly lucky you didn't blow the restraint computer!
