Hello guys, there are 2 thick green electrical cables in the engine bay next to the battery. They have been shorted with some wire. I guess they should go trough a fuse. Does anybody have an idea what they are for? I can't find them on the wiring diagrams.
Thanks

Because that is not normal. It does look like its "shorted" by a fuse-able link, which acts like a fuse so to say. It may have conneted to the fuse box next to the battery, look to see if a fuse is missing or blown, maybe its what the wire is for. Good luck.

Nope, it wasn't connected to the fusebox. Is there anybody who just can "pop
the hood" and try to find where this wires are goining?
Thanks, Mike

does your car still have hicas?
does it have a suspension switch on the mirror switch?

Thats all i can think of right off. My car does not have any wiring like that. 1990 n/a engines did not come with those options.

also could be wires added by previous owner.

1990 HICAS is hydraulically controlled, not electronically.

Ketje01, those are not factory wires, at least not factory like that. That is something we cannot help over the internet by a single picture. We can "pop the hood", but no one has those specific wires like that.

Ill ask again, is there a fuse missing out of the fuse box or one that is not connected?

No, they didn't came from the fusebox. They seem to be from the original wiring loom. I will just deconnect them and then look what doesn't work anymore :)

I think your missing the point. I am not asking if they are coming from the fuse box, Im asking if you are missing any fuses from the box. Chances are there is a fuse that the previous owner couldn't find or something blew and he needed it right away, so he make shift his own fuse.

Please try and take more time reading instead of assuming, not once was it asked if the wires were coming out of the fuse box. We are all just trying to help, and sometimes that help is asking questions to get to the right answer or somewhere close it.

Sorry man, English is not my native language so I apologize if I'm missing the point. No fuse is missing or blown.
