Electric Water pump

Hey guys,i am planing on getting a ca18det some time in the next month or so and i was wondering while i am doing my general matenance (new belts and pumps) what you guys thought of electric water pumps?ive only seen a little write up on them and i was wondering if i should think about going down that route. Thanks

No need! Are you going to try and build a 1200whp 1809cc or 110 cubic inch engine? If not, then don'tworry about something like that on this engine.

I think the big advantage of the electric water pump is going to be high rev's. The sr pump is known for cavitation at higher rpm.

Also, can i take this chance to HIGHLY recomend the dealer pump over an autoparts store pump?

I had BOTH in my hand the other day, and the clearance between the OEM pump and housing was very tight, while the auto parts store rebuild was quite loose (like 3-5mm loose).

The gap will add to cavitation, so if you plan on going rev happy, i would stick w/oem.

The finish on the OEM pump was much nicer as well.

Sorry for the off topic. Are you going to tune it yourself when you get the motorset? If not who is doing it cause I haven't seen or heard of any shop out here.

Hello Yes in reply to your question i will be tuneing it myself with the help of a friend who will also be teaching me to tune so i wont be takeing it to a shop

well what are the part numbers for an oem water and oil pump since were on the subject?and prices if possible.
