I'm going to be going to an electric water pump and electric fan setup soon.

This is what I was going to use:

Koyo RadiatorFlex-a-lite 220 fansDaviesCraig EWP (Electric water pump)

The Electric fan draws 19.5amps, water pump is an additional 7.5amps Max. It'll be an additional 27amps that is not currently on the electrical system. I'm not sure about what the Alternator on the SR is rated at, but I also have a 760watt Amp on for my speakers. I'm curious, does this sound like it'll be an issue? Usually the electrical system can support a large array of additional items... The fan isn’t going to be on ALL the time, nor is the Variable water pump going to be always drawing 7.5 amps, but under max conditions it will.

Does it sound like my electrical system will handle it?

Also, my plan was to remove the stock water pump belt, and possibly remove the water pump and grind off the impellers so it will not restrict the flow, OR I could fab some sort of blocking plate to go in place of the water pump. My issue with this is it's the same belt that the alternator uses, I haven’t' really looked, but is it likely that just a single belt going to the alternator and the crankshaft will work? The alternator is the tensioner, and it tensions to the left.. Thoughts?

Oh, and I have no clue why I want an electric water pump, I guess I just want to do it because it's unique, plus there is some level of power to be gained.

The pump flows between 300-1300gpa, I'm sure that's more than the stock pump. So i'm not worried about that, unless my car can't supply the unit with enough power

240SXer, how did your electric water pump project go? I am interested in doing the same for my car. Any advice that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
