Electric to mechanical fuel pump

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

i have a chevy 305 v8 ( mechanical pump) and the truck i have has a electric fuel pump ( in tank ), how do i convert the tank to a mechanical fuel pump? does anyone have any idea's?

I got to thinking last night,

if pull the fuse from the fuse panel for the electric fuel pump, can i run a fuel line from the mechanical pump to the electric pump and pull the fuel thru the electric pump to the mechanical pump?

I assume you're going Carb? If so, I really don't have a clue. If it were me, I would go Fuel Injection and use the pump in the tank. But again, that's just me.

They make Mechanical block off plates when converting from Manual to Electrical pump. Just follow the lines that go to the carb and run that directly to the fuel line bypassing the Mechanical pump. Then get a block off plate at Advance or somewhere.

Youll need a FPR since carberated motors only run like 6-8 psi.

This is what they look like

Dude I hate to bash, but I can look up your post and you ask some question that you should know the answers to, and if not open a summit book or google it.

Mallory makes a fuel pressure regulator (#4309) that is made just for converting from FI to carbs. It steps down from the 40 psi or so of your stock fuel pump to 2-12 psi for carbs.
