Anyone ever seen one of these/know anything about it?

I'm intrigued, but don't know enough to know if it's worth it. Depends on how efficient the motor is and how much draw it's going to produce.

interesting..if one can find a high flow filter like it asks for, that doesnt screw with the MAF like a k&n is known to.

well basically its a fan that tries to create boost, I cannot see the internals so i cant call it BS outright, but i can 99.999999% because there is no way a fan that size can produce enough difference without being very loud. as in a whine high enough to likely hear over your engine.

your average acr intake is about 60-80mm and these are usually a computer fan that they put in a box to "blow" more air in.

usually such products simply make your wallet lighter, not make your car faster.

if the product was actually tested in the magazines they list at the bottom ill be the first to say whoops my bad, but there are so many fakes its hard for me to believe something that small makes that kinda impact. now if it was a regualr supercharger that was run by electric motor rather then a engine belt/pulley then maybe , but buyer beware at the least.

to me it would probably work the same as ram air, like an electric tornado fuel saver

haha nice turbo!!

Regarding the supercharger -- Coming from the 240sx world, this has been tried and they just don't work. It can't create enough pressure to actually do anything. One guy actually used a leaf blower and tried to gain power

Yeah electric s/c is about as effective as tits on a boar... I've actually read about one that kinda worked. A guy named Thomas Knight built it. It only worked in 15 seconds bursts, barely added any power, took a long time to cool down, and he had to deal with a ton of ridicule.

he says it works, but others say that if it even made any boost, it would come right out the filter, Thomas said that was not true but I don't see how it could be not true? And all the ebay e-s/c, they might add some boost but the electrical draw they need makes up for that, giving 0 gain

haha hey. . if tits on a boar aren't effective, then why do I have such a massive stalk-on right now?

WERD on your second statement. AND that guy probably knew what he was talking about, because he's actually done it. It probably gave him something... But you'd have to carefully dyno it.

Ok, I found this out. It's possible. Is it probably that helpful? Nah.

http://www.fullonspeed.com/

They have a lot of information though not a flashy site.

If it's legit, this might be an easy way to get a light pressure turbo on our VG33's and get some slightly better fuel economy!

I can't be the guinea pig because I have to save up for the wife's TL she's been waiting for

Oh, forgot this little tidbit too, funny!

Ew, E-SC's. The Fullonspeed link is interesting, I wonder why they have no install pics or even product pics? HMMMMMMM. Could be a scammer.

E-SC's for the most part are nothing more than snake oil. No worky. Dicey at best. Do you guys understand how much power it would take to effectively run an electric motor or set of motors at high enough speed to produce positive intake pressure at anything higher than an idle? Way more than a stock charging system puts out. Also, the motors have to cool off somehow so you can only run them for short duration. The negatives far outweigh the positives on this one.

And yes, if that SC above ever produced any positive pressure it'd simply blow straight back through the air filter. That's simple to figure out yourself unless there's some sort of one-way valve inside his tubing somewhere.

88 if the E s/c in the photo was using the dual screws setup common on top mount S/c's then i believe it would not leak backwards, and seeing how he has two motors its likely that is what he has done. as for power eh, i agree its probably not worth experimentation and expense versus turbo or S/c that is proven.
