electric power steering in an s13

this is mostly just an idea and a day dream but i was browsing our forums and found this full race s12 with electric ps and it put this idea in my head.

i have never liked my ps (it seems to lag a little on quick left rights, id love to fix it if you know whats rong) its got to be kinda heavy, puts a small (3-5hp?) drag on the motor, is usually leaking, and in a few swaps takes custom hoses or brackets to work at all.

Im considering doing an na sr23ve project next year, i want do an electric water pump and fan this would be a unique and functional mod id love to hear ideas + or - and especially experience

no clue, honestly. ummm im guessing the benefits are supposed to outweight the strain it puts on the electrical/charging system?

Well I know the new 07 Sentra uses an electric steering system. Check with your local dealer and see if they have any old steering motors to throw out. I work at a nissan dealer and have seen about 5 replaced due to stiff steering. Thats kind of alot if you think about it. Most of the time nissan will call for the warrenty part back but sometimes they dont. Not sure if this will help but happy hunting.

Lol... ps woes... I just fixed mine from leaking. Cost alot more than I thought it would.

e-ps would b gr8 if it was viable...
