I don't have easy access to a compressor so i was thinking of getting an electric impact wrench. My problem is the pro ones like from dewalt are 300 bucks! Has anybody used the ones from ebay or harbor freight or any similar discont tool brand with any succes? Any input is much appreciated.

dewalt all the way. everyone I've asked says that's the only cordless unit worth it (all the others are rated too low psi & usually are not easily "socket" compatible, i.e. they have the weird hex pattern instead of the square peg for a socket).

If you buy it as part of a package (i.e. 6 tools for 600), then the dewalt becomes 100, hopefully you can use the other tools. if you got it during the before christmas sale, it would have been even cheaper.

The other advantage of dewalt, as I'm sure you already know, is that it is a tiny lil mofo so it can fit where other impacts can't.

The Porter Cable Torquebuster is great also, runs about $200.
