electric fans wiring questions

have some quick questions on e fan wiring for a s13 dohc.

1. should i wire the fans so there are always on when the car is on or should i wire them with a thermo switch?

2. what are the pros and cons of both methods

I have my pushed off an ignition relay, then my pullers off a switch with a relay that allows me to turn them on, or for the thermal switch to kick them off if I dont.

I have dual altima fans. I have one connected to the factory plug and the other off a thermo switch running through a relay. I've been running this for about a year and a half without absolutely no problems until I just did my engine swap and ripped the probe off. until that point I had never messed with it since it was installed

okay i bought one of teh probe kits from autozone, it comes with everything, the relay,fuse, adj screw, and the probe. there is a green wire i need to wire to the ac clutch, were would that be on the 240, and is it okay if teh fans turn on at 160 and not 170?
