So I went to the salvage yard for an altima fan yesterday and every last altima there ( they had like 12) had either no fan, no radiator, no motor, and one had the whole front end demolished. I looked at a few other nissan radiator fans like from sentras and maximas and stanzas and the fan assemblies on them were kinda heavyso I didnt want to risk it. So I got a fan clutch for my 240, mine is locked up and the fan is really loud and annoying, it didnt work, so I took it back to the salvage yard ( I had bought insurance on that part for $1.50) and they gave me credit for the place. So would any other fans like the stanza or sentra fit? I doubt the one from a maxima would fit because its 2 14 inch fans, any help would be rad.

Just get the Maxima ones and cut them to shape and size you need. With the Altima fans you need to cut too so either way you look at it there will be some fabing going on.

honestly dude, the altima fans are just and easy swap, why dont you look around to find other vehicles that might have a similar size fan and use that...belive it or not there are fans out there that are the same size as the altima...just look

well the salvage yard I go to has alot of nissans and alot of electric fans from them but they all had steel frames and of course plastic shrouds.the steel frames might be a bit too heavy, so I wanted one from an altima, like a 95 or 96, they had alot of the cars, but they were without fans.

Anybody used an electric stanza fan from the ka24e?

Seems like it should work fine but it would be good to know if somebody has done this.

Nevermind. I answered my own question.

For anyone else who doesn't know it will work but will take a little more "modification" (aka hacking the fan up) to fit.

*bump* Flex-a-Lite(sp?) is offering an aftermarket dual-electric fan designed to fit '89-'94 240sx. I think that's right. Listed in new issue of Dsport I picked up. Think it was $200. Expensive but painless installation! I'd personally rather just salvage an Altima fan and do it myself.

you could always run the 3.8L taurus fan. me and my friend are both runing them with no problems.
