Hello, I have a 90 240sx KA24E and switched in the Altima electric fans because my fan shroud broke off(thank you injen intake) and this was just an easier replacement. The only problem now is, I bought a temperature controller from Autozone since a few other 240 friends recommended it, but no one seems to have a good firm answer for my question. The Altima fans come in high and low speeds on both fans... What is the best setup for me to use? Wire it so its low speed when the temp is right(and what is a good temp for that?) then high if the AC is on? Low all the time(which seems like a waste) and high when the temp is right? Any other method others may have in mind? I'd like the least amount of fan usage(alternator wear/drain) possible taht is still safe, but at the same time, rumour has it if the fans run too much, while it is "safer" for the engine, it can cause the ECU to get too cold of a reading and put it in a sort of "winter mode"... I only mention this because my car has been running rich for a while now and I'm curious if this is a possible reason? I just want the best setup for my car so there's the least electrical drain but also the engine running its best if possible... I don't like it running rich, but I also notice the car idling funny when the fans are turned on(e.g. idles fine if fuse is pulled) Any help would be nice, I can't find a good answer to this specific of a question it seems :-/

it has two, and the instructions lable them as one for regular on the other for AC on, which i was just planning to wire the AC on to my AC relay.

You can have the two fans wired up to the different speed settings then. Have the fans wired up together for them to switch on at the same time and have two speeds. Make sure you use thicker wires at the relay to accomodate for the increased draw.

When I installed my Koyo radiator in my 95 I installed 2 12" electrics. I wired it up with an aftermarket fan relay and thermstat switch. I used a Nisport water temp adapter in the upper hose for the thermostat. You have to drill it out to 3/8 npt (its close but it works). all is fine. The thermostatic switches come in 175-180 on and 195-200 on (depending on brand). As for the A/C, well lets say it gets warm at lights. I just haven't got around to it yet but I plan on wiring the high fan switch into the fan wires for the A/C. The 2 fans draw 19 amps and the high original is a 30 amp circuit. No prob if I've done my homework correctly.

On a side note, I drove for 3 weeks without the fans hooked up. Sat at drive thru's for lunch in 105 heat and the engine never got hot. The Koyo radiator is awesome and much cheaper than Greddy or some others. I run 40% anti freeze with the addative such as Redline and Royal purple make.
