I have FAL pullers with griffin rad--not cost effective--If your on a budget go to the junkyard. Open down pipe--I say rock on!!!

open exhaust is LOUD AS ****ING HELL. you will get pulled over and ticketed. not only that but if you ever plan on USING the car for something most racing organizations say the exhaust has to exit past the driver.

i have a side exhaist with no muffler or cat and while it sounds bitchin, its not a street exhaust lol

and fitting pullers is hard, please search as this has been covered many times.

Hell yea that would be bad @$$. I'm going with a open waste gate dump tube. As far as the fans--Go with the room that you have which depends on the mounts.

If your gonna be driving the car alot you better move the exhaust past the driver. I ran an open dp ending right under the drivers seat. It is super loud(like your ears ring for about an hour after driving loud), my car is gutted and the sound just resonates. The exhaust also leaks into the car if you dont put it back far enough. I would say a pipe coming out infront of the rear tire atleast.

Hey why dont you look upt that Quick Time performance exhaust cutout.

Its electric so you just push the button and open it up or close it.I'm sure your GF along with the rest of the town will appreciate it.

Also if your interested I've got a 13" SPAL pusher fan for sale Brand new still in the box.

What are you using mounts or the skyline x-member?If your using the xmember then you have to use Pushers.

If you have mounts that pull the motor back farther then you can fit Slimline Pullers.

I have mounts but I still use the same 13" SPAL Pusher fan. With my rad I don't have much room between the motor and the rad.

Im using the same kit and I too am alittle curious on what to use for cooling. From reading on the syko faq page, they used in their s13 twin FAL pullers and the stock s14 radiator. They also mention that if you wanna use a thicker aftermarket radiator (Koyo) youre gonna have to get pushers. One other method mentioned is one puller and one pusher in the front....

For me I think I'm gonna try to get fluidyne radiator and dual pullers, it'll probably fit since fluidyne is fairly slim compared to koyo.

Can these aftermarket fans be wired into the ECU circuit to automatically switch on and off? Has anyone wired them in yet, if so, which wires go where?

Nope,

The stock ecu doesn't have any temp dependent outputs. Plus even if it did, how would you set it?

You can buy a fan controller or just get a thermostat. That's what I'm running

So if I buy this,http://www.xatracing.com/store...d/889

And this, http://www.xatracing.com/store...d/890

I should be good? This fan is reversable, and the shop is local. Can anyone beat this price or should i go FAL for 289 w/ controller...???
