So theres different ways to do it. Im looking for cheap, effective, and reliable. 3 words that usualy do not go together in this world. My Flexalites are wired to stock relays, which are allways going bad. So im going alternative. Instead of a dif controller or any of them, my friend showed me a new route.

On a Honda there fans are controlled by a stock sensor in the waterneck I believe it was. So im gona do the same. Wire up a relay, Positive to the battery, opposite to the fan. Positive from the battery again, then take the ground post (of the relay) and run it to the sensor (from the Honda) thenn from the Honda sensor to a ground. Sounds simple (and it is) so im gon give it a shot. But...

I wonderd if you can take the temp sensor from the sr/ka/ser ect... and use it the same way as the "switch" for the fan to kick it. As it would be thermaly controlled. So fans turn on a the set temp and stay on until the temp goes down to the sensors set temp to kick off. The honda is stock like that so i could grab one or like 10 for free from friends lol. Im just wondering if anybody thinks this will not work.

I have mine set up to use the KA-E lower rad hose coolant switch. It's wired to activate a relay when the switch reaches its temperature (which I think is 190. I can't remember). The relay's gated side is a circuit to run power to my fan.

So the poll on the relay that runs to the actual fan has the sensor wired in it? or is that wrong? Wiring a relay gets confusing theres alot of ways to do it.

I got the ka sensor off my friend. Can I use it as a ground also or will it only work as power?

It's a switch. It doesn't matter where in the line you put it. Voltage flows the same. I just put it on the ground side of the relay circuit because I didn't feel like running 3 feet of extra wire.

Sweet thanks Bart. Would it be beter to use 2 relays for 2 flexalites? I think all the current to run 2 fans is whats burning up my stock relay system.

I'm not sure what the power draw that the flexalites are pulling, but if you're burning up factory relays, it would be more cost effective to upgrade the relays to something that can handle more juice.

On a side note, it's rare to see something burn up a Nissan relay.
