Hi,

Can someone with 240sx can tell what are pros and cons of getting electric fans instead of the fan clutch?I've heard the car runs smoother without the fan clutch, but I don't want to have any problems with overheating. I live near california and the heat can reach the 110's F.

Is it worth to replace the fan?Which are the best fans get into the car?

So many questions but I want to be sure before I do this...

Thanks

I am running a pair of 12's with a Mishimoto radiator and have noticed no ill effects.

The fans are controlled by a simple, available off the shelf, thremostatic switch (Hayden); and I made a simple fan shroud similar to the Mishimoto one out of a sheet of aluminum. I live in central Texas where our climates are fairly similar, so I have no complaints. For the record, the main reason for me going this route was simple, effective engine bay clean up.

its worth it cause the clutch fan robs power, engine driven. you can use ford taurus electric fan, works pretty good. ive heard the sentra one works good too. ive had ebay 16" fan on my turbo ka and worked pretty good, no overheating. my only problem is the bearing seized up on me
