ELECTRIC FAN QUESTION

Want to make sure everything is working with my car correctly. One day I will replace radiator because whynot. Thermostat has been done. Also have replaced coolant with fresh coolant also replaced the other thermos (gauge/ecu senders)

My main point is my electric fan only kicks on when AC is on and it will stay on even after car is shut off...but only if I used AC on that drive.

I live in AZ yesterday was a cooler time for us of 107. I want to make sure it is functioning properly and if not which part needs to be replaced to tell the computer to kick on when it is too hot.

Hate asking this... I know its a dumb question but I'm hoping some of you can chime in saying you had some problem or this is normal... it is usually a little above half per the temp gauge inside..

You sir have a electircal problem if the OEM condenser fan stays on with the vehicle turned off.

The fan does come on when the coolant temperature sensor reaches a certain temperature. So if you fan does not kick on in severe heat you either have a NICO ECU (1990-1993 Q45 ECU on a 1994-1995 Q45) or you have a problem with the coolant temperature circuit that controls the fan, wiring, relays and sensors. Or if you are some how lucky your engine coolant system is in great shape.

Sorry meant to say when auxillary power is on before key is removed it stays on but only if I used AC. No matter what if I dont use AC the fan never kicks on.
