I know I'm going to sound stupid by asking this, but I don't have time to check, does the KA24DE 240SX come with an electric fan, or do I have to buy one to get rid of the clutch type fan. I looked at the install pages for electric fans and nobody even mentions buying one. Sorry to bother you guys. Thank You.

I went to jegs and installed a thermal switch on mine (couldnt find one at autozone)...as long as you dont sit in traffic forever you will be alright...up here in ohio it isnt that bad, if you start to overheat open the windows turn up the heat and deal with it(the water weight you loose is worth it for weight reduction :) )

I live in Florida, and in the summer it gets a little hot. How long is "a long time" because I have sometimes where I'll sit in traffic for 30 minutes at a time going 2 mph. I really want to do this mod. And do you really need a thermal switch, or can I just have it on all the time, because I would think it would be safer....

I just removed my clutch fan when it got cold here in St. Louis, bout a month or two ago, it didn't have the shrouds so it was useless.

So far I don't over heat 1. because it's cold, and 2. because i havent sat in traffic that much.My electric fan does turn on sometimes though.

In the summer though, I don't know. Just pick a warm day and try drivin around the subdivision slowly for a while, see what happens

I wouldn't go without your clutch fan in FL for too long unless you replace it with another eletric fan. I don't think your AC fan will cool well enough for you.

You would need to find a way to get your new electric fan to fit in the stock fan shroud or find a new one. I think there's another Nissan vehicle (Altima?) that has an electric fan and shroud that's nearly a perfect fit in the 240SX. You might want to search around the forums a bit more on that.
