I'm currently using a set of 12" electric pushers. I've been having a hard time getting the idle to stablelize and I think I know why. I turned the idle up after the car had been running for a while and it smoothed out alot. I went to get my emissions done and they wouldn't test me because the idle was to high. When I got home I turn the idle down and it start to surge again until I turned the fans off. I think the fans are just to much and drag the whole system down. I'm wondering if it would also be possible for them to pull enough current from the ignition system to give me a code 21. At any rate, I'll be installing a relay for the fuel pump to give it power strait from the battery. Whadda yah think.

You can upgrade to the quest 110A or 125A alternator.

I have the same issue. When my FAL dual 12" pullers turn on, the idle drops to 500-550 rpm and surges slightly. The fans pull to much current. I'll be upgrading to the Quest alternator in a couple weeks.

interesting. I'm running 2 10" pushers from flex-a-lite, which work really well..

The manual says 18 draw, but i don't know if that is for each fan or for the total which leads down to a single power wire and single ground wire.. (factory wired parallel)
