electric fan for s13 question???????

i have the ka24de and i have a koyo radiator, but i want to get rid of the fan shroud and the factory pully fan.

i cant afford dual fans so im going to get a single fan.

my question is: what brand would you suggest? is a single fan enough to keep the engine temp down, even at idle? also, would a 16" fan fit fine on the koyo radiator? what is the ease of installation?

Some people use the electric fan of the Nissan altimas or maximas?

The only thing not clear to me yet is where to hook up the temp sensor, to trigger the electric fans. Rad, lower or upper rad hose?

bump! same here i have the mishimoto rad, and i was planning on upgrading to electric fans.

yeah, well i have a temp gauge to show me exactly how hot my engine is, but i wasnt going to get one with a thermostat, i just going to get the manual switch so i can turn it on whenever i want/needed.

I have a mitshimoto aluminium radiator,with the altima fans and it cool very well,the temp sensor goes on the upper rad hose,the altima would be a better choice since they have two speed,low and high.and they flow more than any other fan out there. but my main question is still, would a 16" single electric fan work just fan?

yeah it will it's just more expensive,145 for a 16, dual fans are just 85,so it's up to u.

wow what? where did u get that price for dual fans? all the dual fans that ive been looking at are in the mid $200 range?

i picked up my maxima fans on my S13 for like 20 bux. if you want something that flows a little more, pick up a taurus sho fan. both me and my friend have used them, i had one on my T2 Fc and it worked great (and if you know Rx7's they build heat like not other), and my friend has one on his Sr20 and he ran an entire drift day never peaking above 80* C.
