Thought about getting electric cutouts for the exhaust. I don't race, but I do play around on the empty late night streets with some other people. Just wondering if it is worth it and what people thought. Thanks for the feedback.

are you running turbo, or plan on running turbo?exhaust cut outs are normally used on turbo applications to make the turbo spool faster during drag racing. Really i would think on none forced induction, it would relieve needed back pressure and your torque would drop dramatically and probably lose power as well + all the stupid noise you would be making.

Whats your reasoning for exhaust cut outs? What are you trying to achieve?

i think he saw it in what i wanted to do to my z under "i get her soon" the reason i listed the exhaust cutoff was for the turbo to help it spool up when i need the power other then that after i leave the line and im at a good pace i flip the switch and u hear the beautiful sound of that 3.5 liter v6

I have heard of people putting them on V8's and from what I heard with the V8's it sounded like it might be a good idea, but I wasn't sure how it would effect a V6 so I thought I'd ask. I'm debating if I want to go Turbo or Super for my car I've been doing some reading and it's just a matter of time figure out exactly what I want to do with the car and I need to make a pros/cons list for each. Thanks for the input though it is much appreciated.

turbo's are more effiecient..... bottom line. Neither is safe no matter who tells you, both are boost and boost always has potential to detonate the motor. Turbo gives more hp/psi = more efficient. Check out the many kits out there. Both are good investments and both give grins, its really up to you and what kind of power you want to make..... I'm still undecided my self but think i will end up going turbo.

Turbonetics FTW (check out their website - turboneticsinc.com)
