Hi guys. I need some help, and don't really even know where to start posting these questions since they are carb specific, not vehicle specific, and the carbs are on an engine in my 1977 Corvette.

Anyway, I built a 405 for my 1977 Corvette. I topped it with a set of Mikuni side draft carbs. Everything is great in terms of tuning and operation with the exception of using the choke / start circuits.

I guess I need any Mikuni experts to step in and help me find or build an electric choke I can apply to one or both of the PHH 44's I have on my V8.

I am toying the with the idea using an electric choke from an Edelbrock, and somehow modifying it to sit on the Kikuni carb to operate the choke functions electrically.

I don't have anything useful to say to help you out, mainly because the only thing I know about carbs is that I don't like them, but one of the old farts around here might be able to help you out.

Welcome to nico, now post pics of the vette. :bigthumb:

Thanks. I may have built a solution, but more on that later. For now...

Thanks. I actually have Craig at Wolfcreek on my speed dial. He's who I order my rebuild parts from and he's been a huge help...except that he has no knowledge of an electric choke for these Mikuni carbs.
