Electical Short--Antenna Goes Up When Lights Are Turned On.

Newbie here...When I turn my lights on, my antenna goes up and I blow a fuse when the radio is turned on. This started happening when I replaced my radio. I've double checked the wiring, but the problem continues.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Can anyone confirm the colors of the leads/wires to the radio? I appreciate your assistance.

sounds like some bonehead installed and aftermarket radio and crossed some wires

uninstall the aftermarket stereo, I think you'll find that they hooked the antenna remote wire to the iluminatin circuit

Remote is most likely blue (sorry don't remember off my Z) and illumination is usually orange

Remote is light blue. And yes, Illumination (or dimmer) is orange.

EDIT: That's only if you have a wiring harness, not if someone decided they wanted to hack up your stock radio harness.
