elecric fan sizes

Anybody know what size of electric fan to put on a stock rad on a 91 KA24DE? I searched and the best I could come up with is 12". Is this right? or is there a bigger size?whats the install like?:help please!!!

you can put a dual 12" or a single 14" like the permacools that they've got up on heavythrottle.

id recommend the dual 12" fans, you will cover more area of the rad. when you dont have a shroud a single fan is always at a disavantage.

a trip to your local u-pull junkyard may also be a good idea, try to find ones for rads the same size as yours. I found 95 altima fans to be a near match, and with a bit of hacking got them to fit. The great thing is you can keep the shroud and they have hi and lo settings. rig it up for constant lo, then when you have hi temps have it switch to hi. and with those fans hi was way overpowered .

i have a 16" flexlite electric fan and it works great, but it may not be the best size I would say also go for the double

I've got 2 12" fans from a Sentra and it covers the entire radiator. Now just have to get them wireed so they both turn on. lol I got one working, which is a plus.

looks like 2-12's is popular. Pullers work better or a single pusher(no intercooler yet)?

If I was to do my fans over again I would have went with the sentra setup like you did. The shroud is fantastic and you don't have to use pull thru core ties.

I run two FAL fans with a permacool controller.

I am going to run two 14" Permacool Fans on a Koyo for my SR with the same controller.
