ej20 perhaps?

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Whats up guys, I just had to re-register here because i couldnt' remember my old password, and i no longer use the email address that i registered my original name with.

anyway, i'm actually right in the middle of an lsx swap into my 97 240, which i'm hoping to be done in a month or so.

My friend that bought my stock ka has a subaru 2.5rs, which got me thinking, wouldn't it be unique and cool to do an ej20 swap to like an s13? I have absolutely zero knowledge or experience with the subaru stuff, but i do like to be different, and i think this swap would be pretty sweet in an s13.

I dont know, maybe its completely stupid, but i personally think it might be fun to attempt in the future. To me, those boxer 4's just sound bad *** too haha. Does anybody have more knowledge about these motors like mount points, oil pan configuration, blah blah blah.

Anyway, whats everyone elses input?

imho, its not really worth it cost wise, and they are by far the biggest pita to work on. unless its a v7 jdm sti 2.0, its going to cost a lot to get any decent power to justify the time and work.

im all for being different, but that seems like going out of your way and into unnecessary difficulties to be only different, with very little tangeable, if any gain.

but now that engine in a mid engine layout...mucho better.(not in a s chassis....just in something in general) ej20+porsche 914=awsomeness.

Well, i definitely wouldn't consider it if the cost is extremely high, i seriously haven't done any research on this aside from searching forums and google.

I dont' even know if it would physically fit. i suppose if i really wanna know, i could pick up a junk block for next to nothing and find out when/if the time comes.

This idea made me throw up in my mouth...lol. Isn't a motor out there I'd rather not have. For the exact reason stated, expensive and PITA to work on.

i was actually thinking about this swap. I own a 1995 impreza with a jdm ej20g. The ful ldrivetrain costs around 2grand and i was curiosu if you can custom fab the whole drivetrain into the car. making an awd s13. You can easily make 300awhp from that motor so an awd s13 should be very interesting. just curious if any 1 can get me a pic of an empty engine bay with just the sr20 crossmember. I wanna see how an ej20 would fit.
