funny, I was just about to put in my buddies old wrx injectors, just waiting on the fuel rail and fpr now... I have my own and very simple idea of how to make them fit, but Im curious that since they are slightly different than the msd's (shorter, different diameter tip) how did you get them to fit into the manifold?SloS13 wrote:Still need a lot of tuning, but my 480cc EJ20 (Subaru) injectors are in. Unfortunatly, the clips I received didnt have wires, so i had to do a lot of modification to them, but they fit and they run!!
Cant wait to boost ~16psi on my 211k miles motor. lolz
oh ok, I gotcha, you are using the JDM EJ20 yellow top sti injectors, I was thinking you were using the USDM WRX EJ20 injectors (which are top feed).SloS13 wrote:oh, these are sidefeed. Sorry, dont have part number. I was given the clips, but they had no wires or connecttors, so I had to remove the wire from an old harness I've got lying around.
On the WRX clips, I had to bore out the holes where the wire goes and remove some other material where the actual connection takes place in the clip, then used epoxy to keep the connections at the right spot, then I just soldered them in.
I got mine for $225 shipped from a guy in France off Ebay.
heres a pic
I believe those work as well, and if memory serves me correctly they are blue tops... Not 100% sure on that since Im at work and just going off of memory. There was a post a while back that one of my subaru friends posted on that detailed all the subaru injectors that worked/didnt work that I had bookmarked, but I lost it when nico changed the domain name. Finding a set of usdm sti sidefeeds is probably not going to be nearly as easy as finding a jdm ej20 set though.andrave wrote:what about the usdm sti side feeds?
