Nistech!! Nice to hear from you.. it's been a while. Hope life is good for you.

Thanks for the tip on the buffer.. Since I'll be buffing the entire car when i'm done wetsanding, I'll do that garnish as well.

Seth, you can also wet sand or try braso (I think is what it's called). DSMs have issues with their headlights fogging up thanks to the great plastics they used for the housings. All of these things (buffing compound, wetsanding, and that Brazzo stuff have all been used successfully. I'm sure any of these options would work well on your center section.

Dexter has a good idea there. I've personally used an electric buffer and a lens polishing compound to clear up the plastic lenses on my old Subaru Legacy. Worked quite well too.

Not sure, but has anyone ever tried nail polish remover. I used it on a set of plastic headlights and it worked great, but the key was small areas at a time. Wipe, buff and after apply some good wax. It was an old school trick we used to use when detailing cars. I'm sure there are better methods.

I have to say the car is looking AWESOME Seth. It has made some real headway over the last year. Imagine just last Sept getting that kit and now this. Just mind boggling. Keep it up. Who knows you may give that guy that pops in here once in a blue moon (AZ...jk) a run for his money. Too bad NOPI is dead this year. Woulda like to have seen it in person.

Every day that I live to see is good!

Wish I had half the motivation you do to work on your car. I still haven't got mine painted since I did the conversion and body kit.

Update time:

I finished wetsanding the car. But I didn't do a very good job of it. I was too scared to burn through it, so I didn't go deep enough to get all the orange peel out. It's better than it was in terms of orange peel, but it's lost it's shine and luster, even after polishing it. I'll get a buffer again and polish it more to hopefully bring that shine back. I'll even toss a coat of wax on it. Hopefully that will bring it back..

Here's some pics at the park.. still needs more polishing

For something to look that nice, and still be kicking an RB...

You've got it made bro, you've definitly got it made

Congratz on the work! the shine before was nice, but with a bit-o-wax i'm sure it'll be grand!

Sick vert!

I like the OEM Silvia grill as well. You can get a brand new one for about $40 plus shipping. Here is a link for one: http://www.thenismoshop.com/ik...d=439

Wow.. nice find!

I had no idea they had those.. and for a nice price!

I might have to put in an order. I want the fresh new clear center garnish and a set of these blinkers:

I just don't have the $100 to drop on cosmetics at the moment.

Oh yeah...those lights and new grill would look bada$$. Every week put back $20 in your sock drawer...in less then a month and a half you'll have the funds for the new lights and grill . Man we are bad influences...lol.
