Should I lower my car with Eibach Spring? Will my G still have that comfort ride? Anyone got info?

Eibach springs are gonna drop it a lot. Are you just switching out the springs and use the stock shocks too?

Just did this about a month ago... the car will ride a good bit stiffer,,, it will feel tighter... also the handling will improve immensly, if your roads aren't the best you will be a very keen pothole avoider!! and you'll have to learn how to park away from curbs, and also watch for speed bumps that you may rub on,, and some driveways you'll have to "angle" up. Mine is an X sedan... but the main thing for me was getting rid of the annoying wheel gap!!!!!!!

Eibach did the R&D on my sedan back in early 2007 so I can safely say I've had Eibach springs the longest on a V36. I'm still running stock shocks too. Since they are non-linear springs, the ride is actually very close to factory. If you are not planning to autocross, they will work out fine for you. You just have to drive being aware that your car is lowered, so use caution.

The two most popular lowering springs are made by Eibach and H&R. H&R springs will lower the car much more than the Eibach springs.

No matter which you choose, I would seriously consider SPC camber arms for the rear and SPC upper control arms (UCA) for the front to bring the alignment back into factory spec.

Some owners will say that new UCAs are not needed with Eibach springs since the drop is not that much. From personal experience ... you will notice faster tread wear on the inside if you do not replace the UCA.

I got H&R springs without camber kit. I'm running -2ish for the front and -3ish for the rears. It definitely wears out the tires faster but its not a big deal if you rotate them.

Sorry ... I didn't mean to say they would not work when racing. You're right, the lower CG will be better than stock. But some of the hard core racers I've talked to say non-linear springs are not as predictable as linear springs. This is why coil-overs always use linear springs. If you are serious about racing, there are various coil-overs available now.

I have replacement UCAs on my car now. It is not easy to adjust the camber on the SPC units I have because the adjustment nut is on top of the UCA. Even jacking the front tires off the ground, it's difficult to get a torque wrench in there.

I guess I am not getting eibach spring. I got HKS exhaust and it is already hitting the exhaust sometimes, lowering maybe a problem..

Thanks for the info though
