I just got ahold of some eibach prokits designed for a 87-90 sentra. part numbers 6315.101 and 6315.102Now, my main question is... and its a dumb question but i jsut cant be sure. They are progressive rate coils, and i assume they have to go in a certain way. Problem is, the rear coils look like the tightly wound coils sit above the wider wound coils while the front sit the other way around, tight on bottom, loose on top.So anyone own these springs? wanna shed some light? I would like to install these by tomarrow and test them out... my pulsar is crying for new coils! Thanks a lot!

I'm trying to remember what mine looked like... much later year, and Sportlines, but I assume the same basic design...

^Rears are in the middle.

I suspect there's a reason. It appears that the Sportlines function similarly. I'd venture to say that it has to do with suspension geometry. Since the rears don't support the engine's weight, having them have less travel of the body moving towards the ground keeps the rear stiffer and lends itself towards counteracting the natural oversteer that most cars have. Maybe run a search of the suspension forum?

You've been here a long time to have only 2 posts, quite a lurker!
