I don't know about everyone else, but I'm not bashing you just to bash you... I just want you to make an informed decision, and, unfortuantely a lot of what you've been posting is factually incorrect!

The eibach drop for the A/C is 1.5" and 1", sprtlines are usually like 1.9", but vary from setup to setup. Everyone knows Tein makes great springs, and they put the R&D into their applications also. I think if they come out with their springs, they will be great... BUT, as I stated, dropping lower than 1.5" and 1" WILL cause you to have to get

1. Camber kits2. Upgraded shocks and struts

Contrary to your earlier statement, you DO NOT need upgraded shocks and struts with all appliations. I don't have time to go into how progressive springs work, but the pro Kits are designed with the travel distance of the stock setup in mind to allow years of use with the factory setups... and the extra 1/2" lowering from the Sportlines will require upgraded, STIFFER shocks and strtuts

Also, I also agree that I recall Fox marketing speaking about issues they had when they originally installed their springs... I'm sure we could find it if we searched long enough.

And lastly, addressing the FM and Artisan cars, we mentioned them in the context that you stated you were thinking about using non application springs (i.e. Generation 3 Teins, or something to that sort) on the eibach setup, and our counter to that is that for a daily driven car, this could be hazardous.

I think your best bet before you do any of this is to actually talk to some suspension experts about all of this. They will have the real answers... don't just go off of the word of folks on this site about something as serious as suspension for your vehicle! The experts have the answers, we (including Fox Marketing) have opinions! I would hate for over-exuberence for a lower ride to end up costing you in the end!

No no no, I was just responding in a way to help you make an educated decision. I don't wanna see your car on the back of a tow truck because your suspension failed going 70 mph. Go with what Robert said, research, find out information that will help you accomplish your goal. Who knows maybe you will even discover something we don't know about

Bro, we're not deleting your thread. More people are interested in it that just you. Go back and read dldjros post again. He is asking why more people than just you are complaining about the Eibach drop. You know, referring in such a way as to ask a question, why you and others think the drop is to high. He wasn't saying you complain in a negative way.

I also think it would be a bad idea to delete this thread... another one might pop up in a day/week/month because the questions you are posing are valuable, useful, and good points of discussion... you are definately NOT the only one that isn't satisfied with the Eibach drop, and for those that aren't i'd rather them search and find this thread, and have a better idea of what will come from a 2" drop (replacing struts/shocks, camber kit, etc)...

Also, I would hate for someone to just throw on some Tein kits fro the 3rd gen without being aware of what problems could potentially arise from them!

I found this thread from greyzonehttp://forums.altimas.org/zerothread?id=301144

please read through this, and contact the company he mentioned. Also, note at the bottom what the company had to say about Eibach comapred to other suspension companies!

relax homie... you get so overworked... no wonder longbeach got picked over you... no need to point out how much you know while doubtin what I know. I know what pro kits do, but I have a preference of drop. I've had hydros and air struts in the past and I want something lower than a pro kit. If someone gave me the pro kit, that'd be nice, but I'm willing and lookin to spend my money on sumn that's gonna suffice what I want.

I've had coilovers that weren't meant for my car before... we made them work - back in 2000 wen I got my 2000 alti... they were ground control and the ride was plush, and my car sat so low you would been complainin about that too.

please think about what you're sayin or what you're tryin to say because tone is lost on forums, and pointin out my "ignorance" puts me on the defensive. so you bein a veteran around here should give you more wisdom than that.

p.s. I love eibach... afterall, the ground controls springs I used that "didn't fit" were made by eibach... I drove them at 130mph, didn't give out. I've been modifyin nissans since before they were popular mod cars, which in all honesty, they're still not as popular as a honda (as far as aftermarket parts are concerned). don't discredit anyone jus because you have sum parts from that company and feel like you need to back them up. check my posts - I have a few complainin about this drop. the drop is weak - to me. what the drop does is beautiful to the ride, but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't give ME what I want.

I hate arguin on forums because in the end we all look stupid... but I'm not gonna let you feel like you walked all over me with your vast intelligence on aftermarket products. lol. your assumption of me bein stupid for tryin out somethin custom, and your assumption of my knowledge on the subject shows the very ignorance you talked about.

if you wanna warn me about dangers or to talk about things, there's ways of doin it.

octo...

i understand where you're coming from and yes sometimes tone can get lost on forums... i would still suggest consulting a suspension company (other than Eibach) about the potential dangers of using non vehicle specific springs on a vehicle... the fact that you have done it in the past and drove them at 130 mph and lived to tell about it doesn't make it any less safe! Consult the professionals, and then make your decision!

I thought we were just in a passionate discussion. I wasn't out for blood, and I didn't think you were either. However, you stated several things wrong in your posts, and I felt the need to correct them so people dont go running off and wrecking their cars

lol i feel you... before I even go towards modifyin the suspension in that sense, I'll wait patiently for somethin else to be offered. I modified in the past like that because altimas were lackin SO many parts at that time. In reality, I don't wanna take chances on this new car although I'm tempted to, but I just don't have time to make things fit anymore, so I'll just chill and wait for the parts... If I see those same eibachs on ebay for cheap I'll get em, but I'm not coughin up full price for no one to notice my drop lol

if not, I'll probably go for bags.

thanks man... but yeah, you can cave in and get the pro kit springs until something lower comes out and then sell em... or wait. sprint usually makes alti springs 1.8+... but in the end its what you wanna do...
