Robert (rjdmmfl1) drove up here today. We took these comparison shots Robert's stock height vs my Prokit. Might help a few of you make your decision's. Also at first glance Robert wasn't sure if the springs were for him, but as soon as he got in the drivers seat....he was sold instantly! Notice the mirror difference in the last set of pics, and the roof difference in the first set.

Its not necessarily the 245 thats the problem. Its all in the offset.

no worries, johnny_d has +38 and I have +40, so if he clears 245 width, almost everyone here will clear

fellas, what I realized when I looked at Blake's setup is that even his +45 offset 8" wide rims w/ 235 tires do not necessaryily tuck in under the fender. That extra 10mm of tire plus .25 inche of rim is enough to keep it from tucking, and his car DOES NOT rub, even when going over bumps...

also, cornering was amazing! I took onramps and corners at high speeds (w/ Blake's permission of course) and the car handled wonderfully. I think it'll handle even slightly better on my car with the 245mm tires. Every centimeter of traction helps out trmendously regarding sticking to the road!

Previously, I stated I was 99% sure I wasn't gonna get the Springs.. well that's why I left myself a 1% chance... I'm def getting the springs now.

In regards to rubbing, I can say that for the 2.5 Sedans running wide tires and low offsets, good luck! If Eduardo was rubbing with his setup without lowering springs, I just can't imagine how its gonna handle with springs. Also, just from driving my wife's 2.5 Sedan, there is a TREMENDOUS difference in the wheel travel observed due to the stock suspension setup in the sedans vs the coupes. I'm interested to see what happens with you guys that have sedans... sorry, but I just don't think the spring Gods will favor you! BUt hell, I was wrong before!

J/K

But, all kidding aside, Adidas has done his ride justice, good mods, good taste. Anybody coming even close to mentioning the word rice for any of our rides is a moron in my books.

As for the wheels, i'm glad the sport-tuner look hasn't left the building ....big props. And, I really like the Konigs too. There's a similar model from R1 Racing called the hype that I really liked also, will post a pic of it when I find it.

Hey, Adidas, send the royalty check ......

I feel your pain, even according to the Provincial Police (OPP) this is the worst year for potholes....the roads have become disgusting! And judging by the amount of snow I had to drive my baby in for the first time yesterday, theres no way I could survive with Eibachs, my bumper would just plow the road....it sucked driving in that crap, but even with the all seasons and no TCS or VDC she did pretty well...I finally have her washed and resting in the garage, until we get hit AGAIN on Weds with yet another $hit load of snow......I HATE WINTER ARRGGHH!!!!

Oh man...What a difference in ride height! Looking at the mirror height difference, you'd think that Blake got the sport line drop! Oh man,.Tuesday can't come fast enough!

As soon as the springs are on, I'm ordering my wheels! 18x8.5 +35 offset with 225/45/18s. I shouldn't have any rubbing!

Adidas,Damn that looks like a serious height difference compared to stock - combined with the front lip - do you have any problems with driveways, speed bumps - etc.?

Dr. Rob - based on everything you have shown thus far on this forum it is apparent you have the ITCH. Are you thinking about changing your grille/front bumper? That stillen combo is a beast - totally transforms the front.

Hmm, not sure what Cali meant, but in any case, between write ups and organizing group buys, I'd say my contribution to the forum speaks for itself...

now, in regards to the drop, after driving Blake's car, I feel I have to mention the many goods, and few negatives. Regarding the drop being substantial and looking like Sportlines, well, yes, the old sportline kits would drop about 1.9", so the 1.5" in the front is not that far off!

In regards to the Stillen front bumper, as you can see from the head to head of my car vs. Blake's, the Stillen kit blows the stock bumper out of the water. No copmparison in terms of looks. However, the Stillen lip is also about 1" - 1.5" lower than the stock front bumper... sooo, that makes a total of 3" less clearance with the stillen bumper when you add the Eibach springs. This definately comes into play when going into driveways, hitting angled dips, etc. You need to be EXTREMELY careful when driving the car if you have this combo... I accidentally scraped the bottom of the car when I went over a speedbump. Blake didn't kill me though

Again, as I mentioned, performance wise, the combination of wider tires and the Eibach kit are amazing. The Stillen fascia makes Blake's ride perfect! The pictures really don't do his car justice. It looks amazing in person, the springs, the wheels, the tint, and the front fascia gives the car crazy personality. Our cars looked more like cousins than brothers when viewed next to each other in person.

On another note, Blake, that's the LAST time I visit you homie, it took me 4 hours to get home due to that GOD AWFUL L.A. traffc!

It aint that deep Doc.

You have the ITCH as in ITCH to MOD. The simple question was - Are you thinking about changing your front?

The speed bump thing was the undercarriage guard that scraped when going over. Robert just took it a little to fast and it scraped the middle of the frame as the front wheels dropped over the speed bump. Also the Stillen Kit does drop the car a lot in the front. If you have never driven a lowered car before here are a few tips:

When you go over high angled speed bumps, or big dips in roadways(ie: some train tracks, drainage ditches), take these slow and at an angle. Scraping can be avoided if each wheel travels over the dip or bump at a different time. If you attack these straight on, your car will dip straight down and you will scrape.

Your brake is your friend with speed bumps. Controlling the speed is very important. A lot of times you can be coming up to a bump, so you slow down to about 5 mph, turn the wheel to angle the car, and start going down. This is where the braking is key. At any point now if you let the car start to travel faster than you started into the bump/dip there is a very high chance you will scrape. Momentum and angles are you enemies with lowered cars.

Thanks Robert I really appreciate that. Your car is coming together too though dude. Just in a different aspect. As far as electronics go. Your car blows mine out of the water. You have more tv's in your car than I do in my apartment! Also your rims were a really good choice. They chrome matches up well with the paint color and the metallic tint

yeah I am thinking about it...... also your cars are about 10k cheaper. I could of bought a G37 in the US for roughly the same price as the 3.5SE coupe (premium package) here in frosty Canada.

Not that I don't love my 3.5se Altima Coupe, its just that a G37 would be nicer.
