Yeah I wish I could ride in a couple of different dropped M's before I made a purchase, but no one is near me. I might end up just going 19" Sport wheels and no drop...look like a regular M45.

Camber +/-2.50. Can u please post picks of the camber kit u had installed....plus a member gave me a number to a guy on this forum that makes
them....i called, left a message and never got a call back...

Trust me when say the are wrong. There are no cam bolts for the AWD. The AWD has an axle to clear and thus there is a fork (honda like) that mounts to the spindle and the spindle is VERY different from the non-AWD.

Notice the fork there for the front axle...there is no place for camber adjustment there...you have to use the upper control arm to adjust the camber on the AWD. No way around it. All I did is buy grade 10.9 bolts (overkill, I know) and had a machine shop mill 1mm off for the length of the mount. The "kit" is not visible to take a pic of. If you look at the pic above, you'll see the upper control arm...the bolts allow play in the control arm to adjust the camber.

As far as Chris not calling you back, that is unusual, but not out of the question...I will talk to him about that.
im a RWD so i shouldn't c y these cam bolts wont work fine on my car.....how much could my camber be off from stock spec? on coilovers

Right, cam bolts will work for RWD, just less adjust-ability than the control arm bolts with the same diameter decrease. You stated that Eibach told you it would work for the AWD and I was explaining that this is not the case.

Coilovers will depend on how much you drop the car. I dropped mine almost 2.5 inches and I might go a tad more to close the gap to 1/2 above the tire. My camber was -2.3 with the almost 2.5 inch drop. I have it in at -0.8 front and rear.

There is no such thing as camber bolts.

If the M is set up like the G, the rear has camber arms AND toe bolts. The front camber can only be adjusted using new upper control arms.

Some people can get away with not using the toe bolt in the rear and just installing the the rear camber arm.

Eibach normally uses a company called SPC as their supplier. That means if you buy the Eibach alignment kit ... you are really getting a kit made by SPC. Here is their website: http://www.spcperformance.com/

Now the bad news ... according to the site above, SPC doesn't have a kit for the M.

Maybe Eibach is dirtibuting a kit for the M made by another supplier?

The bolts can be ordered from Chris at Precision Motoring. They are a NICO sponsor and active in the Nissan world. His number is 615-750-3892. I believe he is selling them for $150 for a set shipped.

Just realized after I looked at the number that these guys are right down the road from me. I have actually called Chris before and asked if they do UPREV dyno tunes! ha

Did you even try them? Like I said, using the cam bolts as a way to adjust is not the best place to do it. Either upper control arm bolts like what I did or an adjustable upper control arm like you ended up buying is the only way to effectively get the adjustment you need.

I live on the same street! We need to meet up sometime. Yeah, I have talked to him about getting UPRev...they need more people for him to justify the cost that UPRev wants for shops. I am going to get it and tune it myself. I have tuned plenty of GM cars and a friend and I are building a SR20det s13 track car and will need to be able to tune. So I will be talking to UPRev soon...

I am up for it. Fairly open on the weekends. Car is currently stock as I just purchased it, however next weekend I will be putting on 15/15mm wheel spacers and eibach springs.

Previously I had a G35 coupe with UPREV dyno tune. Very worth it and I will be getting it done once I map out the way I want to go for performance mods. (So sad that they are so limited)

so there is no cheap solution for getting the alignment of a drop M back to spec other than buying the expensive part?

i'm confused. if the camber kit from eibach is good enough for you, why would the bolts from the same company not be good enough to try? i mean, you already bought them right?

I got the alignment done today on my M45 and everything is good.

these are my #'s with Tein H-Tech springs (made for M35) with camber bolts from Chris:

left front = 1.5

right front = 1.3

left rear = 1.5

right rear = 1.2

the left rear is out by .2 / this is with out any work to the rear.

I'll get a 2nd alignment when I save up for my 20's

well I drove the car today around town which is pot hole city and I have to say I'm very happy with the out-come.

to me the drop is perfect, I have a 1 finger gap at all 4 corners and still have an almost oem ride. I have a very small rake which I like very much.

can't wait to hit the highway this weekend.
